     UMOJA WA WAKRISTO WATOA TAMKO ( Tanzania Daima 26/12/2012) 
.
JUKWAA la Wakristo nchini (TCF), limeeleza kusikitishwa kwake na Serikali ya Rais Jakaya Kikwete kukaa kimya licha ya kuwepo uchokozi na kashfa dhidi ya Ukristo vinavyodaiwa kuenezwa na baadhi ya waumini wa Kiislamu.
Kutokana na hali hiyo, jukwaa hilo limedai kuwa kanisa liko katika vita ya kiroho, hivyo ni vyema waumini wote wakakumbuka kuwa, katika mapambano kama hayo Mungu ndiye mlinzi wa watu na kanisa lake na jibu litapatikana kwa njia ya sala, kufunga na maombi.
Kauli hiyo nzito ilitolewa jana kwenye ibada ya kitaifa ya Sikukuu ya Krismasi, iliyofanyika kwenye Kanisa la Kiinjili la Kilutheri Tanzania Dayosisi ya Kaskazini mjini Moshi na kuhudhuriwa na viongozi mbalimbali wa ngazi za juu wa kanisa na kiserikali.
Tamko hilo zito la TCF, linajumuisha taasisi kuu za umoja wa makanisa nchini ambazo ni Jumuiya ya Kikristo Tanzania (CCT), Baraza la Maaskofu Katoliki Tanzania (TEC), Jumuiya ya Makanisa ya Kipentekoste Tanzania (PCT) na Kanisa la Waadventisti Wasabato (SDA).
Akisoma tamko hilo kwa niaba ya jukwaa hilo, Askofu Mkuu wa Dayosisi ya Kaskazini, Martin Shao, alisema kuwa tamko hilo lina mambo makuu manane ikiwemo masuala ya kuendelea kuombea amani ya taifa ambayo imetikiswa kwa kiwango kikubwa.
Alisema tamko lao lililotokana na kikao chao cha Desemba 6 mwaka huu, linalenga kuitaka serikali kukemea baadhi ya waumini wa dini ya Kiislamu ambao wamekuwa na tabia ya uchochezi, kwani wanaweza kuhatarisha amani ya nchi na wao kama umoja wa Wakristo, hawatakubali hali hiyo iendelee.

Hujuma ya kuchomwa makanisa
Askofu Shayo alisema tukio la kuchomwa moto makanisa ni uchokozi wa wazi, ulioyakuta makanisa na waumini wake wakiwa hawana habari na bila maandalizi yoyote, hivyo ni muhimu kuanzia sasa, Wakristo wote wakae macho na wawe waangalifu zaidi.
Alisema katika siku za hivi karibuni, kumekuwapo na kashfa na uchokozi wa makusudi unaofanywa na baadhi ya waumini wa Kiislamu hali ambayo inaweza kusababisha uvunjifu wa amani.
Sehemu ya tamko hilo zito na la kwanza kutolewa na umoja huo wa makanisa, ilieleza kuwepo kwa mbinu chafu ambazo zimekuwa zikifanywa na baadhi ya waumini wa imani ya Kiislamu kutumia baadhi ya vyombo vya habari vya dini kukashifu Ukristo, pamoja na kukaa vikao mbalimbali kutaka kuwaua wachungaji na maaskofu.
Alisema hali hiyo inaleta wasiwasi, hivyo umefika wakati sasa wa viongozi wa dini na waumini kujilinda wenyewe kutokana na na mbinu za kutaka kuwaua.
Askofu huyo alisema kitendo cha Serikali ya Rais Kikwete kukaa kimya, inatoa taswira mbaya, kwamba serikali inakubaliana na kashfa, hujuma za kuchoma makanisa na mali za kanisa.
Alisema tamko hilo linaelezea kusikitishwa na mahusiano ya Wakristo na Waislamu kuzorota kutokana na kauli ambazo zimekuwa zikitolewa na baadhi ya Waislamu ambao wamekuwa wakifanya makongamano, machapisho mbalimbali, mihadhara kwa lengo la kuchafua Ukristo, huku serikali ikifumbia macho.

Dhana ya kuwa Tanzania inaendeshwa kwa mfumo Kristo
Tamko hilo pia lilieleza kuwa kumekuwa na hoja kwamba serikali inaendeshwa kwa mfumo wa Kikristo, jambo ambalo si kweli.
Askofu Shayo alisema maneno hayo ni ushahidi wa uwepo wa ajenda za waumini wenye imani kali na waliojiandaa kwa mapambano maovu kutetea dhana potofu kinzani na misingi ya demokrasia na haki za binadamu kama ilivyotangazwa na Umoja wa Mataifa na kuridhiwa na serikali.
“Jukwaa la Wakristo nchini tunakanusha wazi wazi na kueleza bayana kuwa, nchi hii haiongozwi kwa mfumo Kristo! Kwa watu walio makini hakuna kificho kuwa viongozi wote waandamizi wa ngazi ya juu serikalini awamu ya sasa, asilimia 90 ni Waislamu (Rais wa Nchi na Amiri Jeshi Mkuu, Makamu wa Rais, Mkuu wa Usalama wa Taifa, Jaji Mkuu, Mkuu wa Jeshi la Polisi). Kwa mantiki hiyo haiingii akilini kueleza watu kuwa nchi hii inaendeshwa kwa mfumo Kristo!
“Kwa upande wa Zanzibar asilimia 100 ya viongozi ngazi za juu serikalini ni Waislamu, na sio kweli kwamba Zanzibar hakuna Wakristo wenye sifa za kuongoza. Kisha, hata uwakilishi wa Tume ya Mabadiliko ya Katiba, theluthi mbili ya wajumbe wake ni Waislamu. Tunayo mifano mingine mingi iliyo wazi, na hii ni baadhi tu. Watanzania wanapaswa kuelewa wazi kuwa, nchi hii inaongozwa kwa misingi ya utawala wa kisheria na sio vinginevyo,” alisema Askofu Shayo.

Matumizi hasi ya vyombo vya habari vya kidini
Tamko hilo lilivishambulia vyombo vya habari vya kidini kwamba vinatumiwa na viongozi wa dini ya Kiislamu kuukashifu Ukristo na kuwachochea Waislamu, wakiwataka wawaue maaskofu na wachungaji, iwe kwa siri au hadharani.
Askofu Shayo alisema japo serikali imesikia kashfa na uchochezi huo hatarishi, imeendelea kukaa kimya, na kuwaacha wachochezi hao wakiendelea kuhatarisha amani bila kuwadhibiti.
“Jambo hili linatia mashaka makubwa juu ya umakini wa dola kuhusu usalama wa wananchi nchini mwao. Imani kali za namna hii huchochea vitendo viovu vya uasi na hujuma sio tu dhidi ya waumini na viongozi wa dini fulani, bali hata na kwa serikali na viongozi waliopo madarakani, endapo waumini wa dini fulani katika taifa kama Tanzania lililo na waumini wa dini nyingi tofauti, hawataheshimu na kutendeana kiungwana baina yao na wale wasio wa dini na mapokeo yao. Hali hii inasababisha kujiuliza kama je, huu ni wakati mwafaka kwa kila raia au kiongozi wa dini kujilinda yeye mwenyewe na waumini wake dhidi ya wenye imani kali?” alihoji.

Mapendekezo
Kutokana na hali hiyo, TCF ilipendekeza kuwa tabia na mienendo ya kukashifiana ikomeshwe kabisa ili kujenga heshima/staha na utu wa kila mmoja.
“Tunaitaka serikali yetu na vyombo vyake vya usalama, sheria na amani kutenda mara moja na bila kuchelewa, katika nyakati ambazo vikundi halifu kisiasa au kidini vinapoanza uchochezi ili kupambanisha wanajamii.
“Tabia ya kuachia uchochezi wa kidini kuendelea pasipo hatua mathubuti kuchukuliwa na dola, ni udhaifu mkubwa wa uongozi na uwajibikaji.
“Ikithibitika kwamba uharibifu uliofanywa ulitokana na kikundi mahususi chini ya uongozi wa dini au chama cha kisiasa au asasi isiyo ya kiserikali, basi taasisi husika iwajibishwe na kulipa fidia kwa uharibifu uliofanywa,” lilisema tamko hilo.
Mapendekezo mengine ni pamoja na kuanzishwa kwa baraza mahsusi lililo huru lisiloegemea chama chochote cha kisiasa wala dini yoyote na litamkwe na kuwezeshwa kikatiba likiwa na dhumuni kuu la kuilinda na kuiongoza serikali kutofungamana na dini yoyote na kuhakikisha kwamba dira na dhana ya utu katika mfumo wa uchumi wenye kujali maslahi ya wote havipotoshwi.
“Na sisi viongozi wa dini za Kikristo, Kiislamu, Kihindu na nyinginezo tuwajibike katika kufundisha, na katika majiundo ya waumini wetu, hasa vijana, ili kuwajengea uelewa na utashi wa kuvumiliana kwa upendo.
“Katika kushuhudia na kuadhimisha imani na ibada zetu, sote tutambue, tulinde na kukuza maadili, tunu na desturi za imani za watu wengine wanazoziheshimu na kuzitukuza.
“Vikundi vya imani kali na pambanishi kwa kutumia kashfa potoshaji sharti vidhibitiwe kwa weledi mkubwa wa viongozi wa dini husika wakisaidiana na Usalama wa Taifa. Stahamala (kustahimiliana) ni fadhila inayopaswa kufundishwa na kupenyezwa katika mifumo ya uongozi na maisha ya jamii na ihifadhiwe kwa kufuatiliwa kwa karibu sana,” lilisema tamko hilo.
Wakati huo huo, Askofu Mkuu wa Jimbo Kuu la Dar es Salaam, Mwadhama Kardinali Polycap Pengo, naye amepigilia msumari kwa kuiasa serikali kutofumbia macho mihadhara ya dini inayokashifu dini zingine.
Kardinali Pengo ambaye amepata kunukuliwa mara kadhaa akielezea kukerwa kwake na mihadhara hiyo, alisema endapo itaendelea kuachiwa, taifa linaweza kujikuta kwenye vurugu za kidini.
Alitoa kauli hiyo jana wakati wa ibada ya Sikukuu ya Krismasi, iliyofanyika katika Kanisa la Mtakatifu Bonaventura, Parokia ya Kinyerezi, jijini Dar es Salaam.
Alisema mihadhara inayokashifu dini nyingine haikubaliki kwani kila mtu anaabudu kwa imani yake.
“Mihadhara ya dini imekuwa ikitumika katika kukashifu dini nyingine huku serikali ikiangalia na kushindwa kuwachukulia hatua watu wanaotumia mihadhara hiyo kukashifu wengine. Hali hii ikiendelea kuwa hivyo, tunaweza kujikuta tuko mahali pabaya,” aliasa Kardinali Pengo.
Alisema hakuna mtu mwenye haki ya kukashifu dini ya mtu mwingine na kama serikali lazima ikemee mihadhara ya kukashifiana ambacho kiini chake hafahamu kilipoanzia.
Kardinali huyo alisema tofauti za kidini zilizopo nchini zisiwe chanzo cha kuvunjika kwa amani.
“Leo tumeona watu wanatengeneza mihadhara ya kukashifiana hatujui chanzo cha hiyo mihadhara na tumeona siku za hivi karibuni watu wanachoma makanisa moto, hivyo ni wajibu wa serikali kulinda amani ya watu na mali zao,” alisema Kardinali Pengo.
Alisema kuchomwa kwa makanisa serikali haiwezi kusema sio jukumu lao wakati ina wajibu wa kuhakikisha wanalinda amani.
Mbali na kuionya serikali kuacha kufumbia macho mihadhara ya kashfa, Kardinali Pengo pia aliwataka Wakristo wa kanisa hilo wasiwe watumwa wa mali, kwani watu wenye mali kiasi wanaishi kwa amani katika roho zao kuliko watu wenye utajiri mkubwa.

UZINDUZI WA KITABU CHA MWL PROSPER ULIKUWA HIVI

Hatimaye uzinduzi wa kitabu cha mafundisho ya namna ya kumlea mtoto na kijana wako kimezinduliwa Jumapili ya tarehe 9 Desemba, 2012. Ibada ya uzinduzi wa kitabu hicho ulifanyika katika kanisa la city Haverst, katika ibada hiyo ambayo mihubiri wake alikuwa mtunzi wa kitabu hicho mwl Prosper. kitabu hicho kiwekwa  wakfu na kuzinduliwa na Mch kiongozi wa kanisa hilo Mch Yaled Dondo aliyeshiriki katika kuandika DIBAJI. A.C.E CURRICULUM


Accelerated Christian Education (ACE)

Overview
Accelerated Christian Education (ACE) curricula originated in the United States. In the 1960s, many students were not performing at their grade levels. This fact compelled many to question the very structure of the conventional educational system.  A.C.E. addressed these concerns and designed a Biblically based educational program geared to meet the learning needs of individual children. This unique program consists of mastery-based curriculum and materials that are self-instructional, character building, and individually prescribed. Whether the student is a high achiever, a moderately paced learner, or a slow learner, the A.C.E. educational process begins at the exact level determined by the child’s ability. This is individualization, making it possible for each student to master the subject matter before moving on. Such mastery is the foundation upon which all future learning is built. The ACE curriculum is offered from nursery, pre-primary (8 years) to high school (4 years). In practice, each learner progresses through these stages on his/her own pace, with some taking longer and others fewer years to complete grade 12. At grade 12, they sit for University entrance examination (including Scholastic Aptitude Test – SAT).
Curriculum objectives
The entire ACE system is designed to develop a student with Christian values and a specific character, whose attributes include integrity; goal orientation, creativity and innovativeness, confidence, communication skills, self belief (locus of control) and independence, etc in addition to the conventional or mainstream curricula objectives, such as mastery of mathematics, language, sciences, social studies, etc

Approach
Under the ACE curricula, learners are not taught by teachers. Rather they are provided with structured learning materials called “Packets of Accelerated Christian Education (PACES) and guided by monitors and supervisors (not teachers) to set and achieve learning goals. Some of the specific features are as follows:

·         Every student plans/decides what he/she intends to do in a week and how many subjects and paces she/he will cover in a day and for the whole week.
·         Learners progress at their own pace, depending on intelligence, discipline, health, psychological stability, etc. and not according to age. Graduation happens every day, from one place to another.
·         Every week, every student prepares and makes a presentation (oral report) about anything being academic, social, economic, or a story. The monitor will assess the presentation on content, voice, gestures, language, and confidence. Students are also given a lot of independent projects through which they learn by doing/discovery
·         Learners initially mark their own work using score keys teaching them faithfulness and integrity, before more comprehensive assessment of mastery of specific competencies is done by their supervisors.
·         Students are allowed to bring anything for sale on special events of the school and gain money.
·         Within the learning centre, each student sits in a cubicle called an office, containing all materials for study. Every week a supervisor will pass to assess neatness of the office and award some marks. Each learning room has a monitor and a supervisor, whose job is to respond to requests for support from the learners. If a student needs assistance or guidance, he/she raise a flag, then the monitor or supervise will go and listen to his/her problem. Because each learner is essentially learning on his/her own not depending on teachers oftenly , learners at different educational levels may (and often do) share a learning centre.
·         Parents (both) must attend a three hour orientation on the philosophy and process of the school before making the decision to enroll children. They are required to attend parenting skills seminars (specific for children of different age groups) organized by the school so that they can support the learning outcomes sought by the curricula, at home. Students must stay with parents as they study at the school (it is a day school).
·         Their text books contain different wise sayings (proverbs) which re-enforce some behavior to the students. For example; be punctual: when I’m on time, it shows how much I care about the other person. When I’m on time, it shows how that thing is important, so I’ll always be on time.”

Supervisors, monitors (these are trained, employed administrative assistants to the supervisors) and administrators must attend special training and be accredited, as well as refresher training every two years In addition, the school has a topic on career development in the social studies subject which helps students to have focus on what they intend to be in future, and how successful they want to be. So far, the curriculum, which is franchised from original developers in the USA and their agents in South Africa, is offered through home study for some expatriates and at Capstone Christian School in Dar Es Salaam.







ACE in other countries
Today, hundreds of staff members provide training services, curriculum, and materials for an international network of over 7,000 schools and thousands of home educators in over 145 countries.

ACE in Africa
ACE has been embraced by educators in many African countries, as it is increasingly been recognized as one of the possible answers to the challenges facing youth and the inability of the existing educational system to nurture positive values, so crucial to the future success of the learners and development of their communities in general. Until December 2011, the number of schools per country was as follows: Botswana (4), Gabon (1), Ghana (2), Kenya (30), Lesotho (4), Madagascar (2), Malawi (3), Mauritius  (1), Mozambique (1),  Namibia (19), Nigeria (208), South Africa (230), Swaziland (6) Tanzania (1), Uganda  (1) Zambia (7), and Zimbabwe (22)

ACE in Tanzania
In Tanzania, there were three ACE learning centres; two home schools for expatriates and Capstone school is the oldest having started 2001. The number of students has gradually increased to reach 135 a total of 4 have graduated at grade 12. They have been sitting for the SAT at International School of Tanganyika (IST) and Heaven of Peace Academy (Hopac) with which Capstone has agreement to use their facilities. Their performance has been exemplary with 4 of the 4 winning scholarships to join American Universities.

Conclusion
The ACE system is one of the possible ways of improving quality of education and can offer valuable lessons for other institutions in Tanzania. Although its outreach is likely to remain limited (just as that of Hopac, IST, Agha Khan, it deserves encouragement. The system also produces law abiding citizens, who are better prepared to make a difference whenever they will be.
